Back

Kiana Pilon is a dedicated organizer, communicator, and community builder from Ottawa South. A proud francophone and committed Liberal, she brings years of experience in federal politics, youth engagement, and national outreach. She is running to be the next National Vice-Chair, English, to help rebuild the Young Liberals of Canada that is inclusive, accessible, and representative of youth across the country.

Kiana is a Queen’s University alumna, where she studied politics with a minor in philosophy and earned a certificate in employment relations. At Queen’s, she served as Vice-President Federal of the Queen’s University Liberal Association, where she led major initiatives, including the club’s Ottawa trip and helped strengthen the connection between campus Liberals and national decision makers. She also served as Co-chair of Queen’s Feminist Leadership in Politics after previously holding roles in communications, human resources, and marketing. Her years of student leadership were focused on empowering young women, amplifying youth voices, and creating inclusive spaces for political engagement.

Professionally, Kiana has built a strong record in communications and digital strategy. She currently serves as a Communications Advisor and Digital Media Manager to the Honourable Gregor Robertson at Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada. Before that, she worked for the Honourable Anita Anand at Transport Canada and for the Honourable Mona Fortier at the Treasury Board. During the 2025 federal election, she served as Deputy Campaign Manager and Director of Communications in rural eastern Ontario, supporting Liberal efforts in Hastings—Lennox and Addington—Tyendinaga.

Kiana is running for National Vice-Chair, English, because she believes the YLC needs real change. The role is central to supporting the National Chair, ensuring full bilingualism in all YLC materials, and leading outreach to underrepresented youth, including young women, Black and multicultural communities, Indigenous youth, 2SLGBTQ youth, and youth with disabilities. Kiana will work with representatives across the country to ensure the Young Liberals are present in every region and truly reflect Canada.
